Paint-Over Critiques.
Do you have an illustration you are working on that you feel needs some troubleshooting? Getting a second opinion from a different person with the right experience is often the key to making an image read better and communicate what it needs to. And sometimes, especially after university or when you are working solo or from home, you don’t have that extra pair of eyes that would be really helpful in unlocking the last few remaining problems in an image before it’s finished. I’ve found getting feedback on my work key to making illustrations that I and my clients are happy with. I can help you troubleshoot your image.
It might be Concept Artwork, A Picturebook, Traditional Illustration work, Personal Work, Painting (Digital or Physical), Printmaking, Animation Backgrounds ,A Storyboard, Even something you’re making with AI, etc etc etc
Offering includes: One 10-20 minute video with detailed critique using a paint-over method and spoken description where I describe visually how to troubleshoot your illustration. And… The PSD with my paint-over notes!
Price for 1 image Paint Over Critique — £80. Student Price — £50. Please email me to introduce yourself and the image you’d like help with, and I can send a payment link for PayPal. Then please send a high res version of the artwork in JPEG or TIFF format to be critiqued to tomclohosycole@gmail.com
If looking for multiple images I’m happy to discuss doing a collection too.
Turnaround usually 1 week from agreement, but please discuss with me if you need it sooner and I’ll see what I can do.
